The Arts Dot Event 2025

The Challenge

The primary challenge was to launch and manage the entire digital presence for The Arts Dot, a multi-faceted art event in its own right, featuring a digital exhibition, The Arts Dot Illuminated, physical gallery shows, and community activities.

This complexity was increased as the project was embedded within three larger frameworks: Blue Science Park and TAB project, the arts association Konst I Blickpunkt, and the Karlskrona Archipelago Festival.

My task was to navigate this multi-stakeholder environment, with its many involved organisations and individuals. I needed to ensure that “The Arts Dot” maintained its unique brand identity while aligning seamlessly with the communication strategies and timelines of the parent events. The ultimate goal was to create a clear, cohesive, and engaging digital experience for the audience, preventing brand dilution and user confusion.

My Role

For this multi-stakeholder cultural project, I served in a hybrid capacity, leading the digital presence from strategy to execution. My key responsibilities included:

🟣 Digital Content Lead and Web Editor

🟣 Curator of the Arts Dot Illuminated

🟣 Graphic Designer

🟣 Copywriter

Key Deliverables & Results

This project successfully established a strong digital footprint for a cultural event, resulting in a well-received exhibition. I contributed over 100 hours of professional services as a consultant for Blue Science Park and an in-kind sponsor for the art association Konst I Blickpunkt, which amplified the project’s budget and impact.

Consistent Brand Application: adapted the existing brand identity across all digital platforms, creating a cohesive and professional user experience.

Managed Digital Presence: Managed the project website and social media channels, publishing 50+ pieces of unique content.

Curated and coordinated a digital exhibition, The Arts Dot Illuminated.

Partnerships: Secured a feature on the official festival program, significantly boosting the event’s visibility.

We had an incredible week in beautiful Karlskrona. My heart was overflowing with impressions from the Citizen Dialogue and The Arts Dot during the Karlskrona Archipelago Festival, where the culture, art, tech, academia, and the municipality converged in a unique context that extended far beyond a traditional event. Proud to have contributed as a digital creator and artist, both in front of and behind the scenes. I especially appreciated all the honest, curious, and complex conversations that emerged. This blend of perspectives – artistic, scientific, and societal is something I look forward to carrying with me in my continued work.

The week was intense and inspiring, characterised by rewarding meetings and deep conversations. About 70 fantastic participants from 10 countries came together, which was truly extraordinary. It was immensely rewarding to see so many engaged individuals sharing insights, ongoing research projects, and future visions.

The significance of such international gatherings in a smaller city like Karlskrona goes beyond the obvious. It’s not just about presenting beautiful exhibitions or interesting lectures, but about actively building bridges between creators, researchers, decision-makers, and residents. Between the local and the international. Particularly valuable was observing the unique connections forged between cultural and creative industries, academia, and the public sector. It is precisely these types of cross-sector collaborations that drive true development and innovation forward.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated, showed curiosity, shared their stories, or contributed in any way to making this week unforgettable. I also extend my gratitude to everyone who has been involved and contributed. So grateful for all the meetings, conversations and collaborations!

Now preparations for The Arts Dot Illuminated

I had productive working meetings and technical reviews with Professor Markus Fiedler, Professor Tobias Larsson, and researcher Ryan from the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), who provided valuable support for this project.
